Idylwood Beach Park

Idylwood Beach Park is a cute little park located on the banks of Lake Sammamish. It features a children's play area, a designated swimming area for kids, a sandy beach, and several other interesting spots for entertainment.

The park is home to several ducks, who often walk gracefully in a flock and capture the attention of visitors. It's a beautiful sight to see them silently swimming in the lake.

Additionally, the community center hall is a popular location for birthday celebrations.

One unique feature of the park is the stream of water that flows into the lake. There are several small bridges built on the water streams, including a hidden bridge at the beginning of the stream that offers a great view of the water gushing at high speed. 

During the summer months, visitors can relax on the lawn and soak up the sun or play games like flying disc and Frisbee. Boats can also be hired during this time. Occasionally, food stalls are set up, and the park is popular with Redmond residents.

Many people also enjoy fishing here, with several species of fish, including perch, smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, and salmon, found in the lake.

Finally, some visitors enjoy playing loud music and singing along when they take motor boats out on the lake. Overall, Idylwood Beach Park is a great destination for people looking for a fun and relaxing day out.

Sunrise at Mt. Rainier

Early in the morning, at 3 am, we started trekking up the mountain to witness the sunrise. When friends asked about managing the three-hour early morning sleep, traveling in darkness, and the cold weather on Seattle's mountain, numerous questions scared me.
