A decision was made through a WhatsApp message to go on a cycling expedition around Samammish Lake at 12 noon. They added Chandramohan to the group, but he excused himself as he had to take his son to a class.
I checked the air pressure in my wheel and it definitely needed to be filled. Deciding to fill it, I pulled out my pump, but the air wasn't going into the wheel because the nozzle of the pump was broken. I took the bicycle in my car and went to a cycle repair shop. When I arrived, there were two people in front of me in the shop. One guy was buying spare parts for his son's cycle, while the other was buying all possible accessories for his new bicycle, like an air pump, cell phone stand, puncture kit, and more. He finally finished his payment and moved on. The shopkeeper was polite to appreciate my patience about waiting and asked how he could help me. It was a beautiful moment. His unkempt hair and professional pride made him truly likable. I filled the air in the cycle and bought a new pump too.
I casually asked him if this bicycle could take me to Portland, and he laughingly answered that people with worse cycles than mine take their cycles to Portland and go. He emphasized that if you have the will, you have the way, as if telling me that a man with a negative mindset will only find dead ends, whereas a positive spirited guy will not even find dead ends and will always see possibilities.
Bharani, as usual, was punctual and asked if I was ready. I answered, "Just about to," changed my clothes, and got ready. After finding the whereabouts of Dinesh's house, I slipped a credit card and the key of the cycle in my pants pocket to be light and started.
The house that Bharani pointed out was not Dinesh's house, as it carried a name board "Anand". I rang the bell of my friend' Chandramohan's house opposite the so-called Dinesh's house, but there was no answer. I came back home and took my phone to call Dinesh. As I walked, pulling the cycle along, I saw an opened garage door of the last house on the first street. It was Dinesh, and he was standing with the air pump, saying that his cycle was punctured. "Oh my God! What time did we plan this? What's happening to this expedition?" I thought. He was searching for the puncture kit amidst his stuff in the garage, and it was like looking for a needle in a haystack.
Dinesh said, "You and Bharani start, and I will join you once I fix the cycle." I started as Bharani was also waiting, although I didn't want to leave Dinesh with his punctured cycle and go. I told him as I was leaving, "Please do join us after fixing it." Meanwhile, Chandramohan called me. He must have seen me ringing his bell and standing awkwardly in front of his door on his door video. I explained why I came to his house and proceeded. Finally, Bharani and I left for cycling. Although many people plan to join exercising, cycling, etc., only a few make it to the last execution. We continued our journey!
