Potluck
A get-together is when friends and family come together to enjoy a meal. We usually meet at each other's homes on weekends. Let's eat together. Let's enjoy playing group games. Sometimes we sit and watch movies together. Children we play as a group and adults as a group. It will be fun to meet everyone and play together. On the day of most Potluck events we sleep at their house and come home the next day.
Many times they will make new dishes. Everyone will bring a dish. We call it kotaanj soru because everyone brings different food like sambar, one fries, and one rasam and eats it together. Sometimes they bring some food from restaurants. Generally, Potluck occurs only on days when one cannot go outside in winters. There will be a parade of food across the table. It is tempting to see all kinds of food.
It will be blissful to gather together and sit in a circle and talk and eat together. Delicious food like dosa, vada, chapati is served on the plate. We all talk and eat. There will be a variety of food. Let's all eat well and go play. Some people are more interested in sports than food. Some people are more interested in tasting food. Foodies will have a taste of all the dishes that come. We all enjoy playing many group games together. If there is a park near the house, we try to go there and play. Sometimes we play games like cricket, basket ball, badminton in the garden behind the house.
Let's have a relaxing time together with food, games and chats. Potluck will provide a good rest and mental happiness. Many times when Potluck returns after finishing the rice, food for the next day is also available. The sad news is that the next day at home, you will only get leftover food. It is still a delicious meal though.
When you go to your friends' house for Potluck, open the door and welcome us! Buy! They call it. Similarly, when we leave, they come to the door and wave us away. Many times we talk and laugh a lot at the door. Mother and father will tell you to treat the guests well and send them away with a sense of contentment. This partnership formed with love can always end without a broken heart.
