Halloween

Halloween festival is one of my favorite festivals. It is celebrated on October 31st every year. We get different types of candies and get to wear Halloween costumes. Along with friends in the same neighborhood, we go around for 'trick or treat' to collect more and more toffees and chocolates. Halloween is a interesting festival, and I eagerly await its celebration every year.

Each year, we buy big pumpkins, and all family members join in sculpt. The pumpkins turn into faces. We complete with facial features like eyes, nose, and lips. It is exciting to see the finished face of the pumpkin lantern, and we feel happy to see the carved pumpkin with its lighting arrangement. Alongside the pumpkin, we also keep Halloween figurines, and the look of Halloween engulfs the whole front yard. 

Every year, I buy a new dress for Halloween. This year, I decided to buy a Batman costume. New shops mushroom for Halloween, selling new dresses and decorations. Masks, creepy-looking face masks, scary masks, blood-stained attire, devil and witch costumes, and various sound-making props are available in abundance. 

We also celebrate Halloween at school. All of us, including the teachers and other staff, dress up for Halloween, and we take group pictures. School Halloween celebration is filled with joy. 

In the evenings, we go around the neighborhood collecting candies and toffees. A basket full of different toffees is collected, which lasts for more than two months. I particularly like Snickers, and I always finish it first from my collection. 

In my neighborhood, one house has decorated its yard with scary ghosts and devils that look fearsome. Whenever someone passes by, these figurines make loud scary noises at night. They are well-lit, and the lights and noise can make anyone frightened. Many different props like cats, owls, witches, demons, and devils are used to scare people, but when one goes and knocks, residents will give candies. 

During Halloween, there are also a few varieties of candies like sour candies that are sold. I taste just one or two of those. Halloween is always a joyful, colorful, and enjoyable festival.

Sunrise at Mt. Rainier

Early in the morning, at 3 am, we started trekking up the mountain to witness the sunrise. When friends asked about managing the three-hour early morning sleep, traveling in darkness, and the cold weather on Seattle's mountain, numerous questions scared me. However, the opportunity to trek with friends and the rarity of the experience convinced me to go. Some said they would come with their families, while others decided to bring only their children. Idylwood Beach Park

Idylwood Beach Park is a cute little park located on the banks of Lake Sammamish. It features a children's play area, a designated swimming area for kids, a sandy beach, and several other interesting spots for entertainment. The park is home to several ducks, who often walk gracefully in a flock and capture the attention of visitors. It's a beautiful sight to see them silently swimming in the lake. There's also a floating platform on the lake that allows visitors to stand and appreciate the beauty of the water. The gentle rocking of the platform creates a pleasant experience for those who take advantage of it.
